Advancing your business is about taking imperfect action. Have you ever felt like everyone around you is sprinting ahead while you’re stuck in the same the place? That was me! I was trapped in the perfectionist’s grip, watching my peers soar while I lingered in the shadows. Rewind to my childhood, and you’d find me obsessing over impeccably neat schoolbooks. Little did I know that this innocent habit back then would shape my journey in unexpected ways. Advancing your business is about taking imperfect action.

Corporate Days: Perfection was the Gold Standard

Fast forward to my corporate days where perfection wasn’t just a goal – it was the gold standard. Every project, every presentation had to be flawless before it saw the light of day. I poured monumental time into maintaining this standard. It was a driving force that would become a huge stumbling block as I moved out of corporate and into the fast-paced world of business.

The Cost of Perfection: A Stumbling Block to Progress

My commitment to perfection soon became a double-edged sword, the one thing that hindered me from progressing in my business. While I meticulously crafted each detail, my peers were making strides, crushing goals that for me seemed out of my reach. The toll became evident, and I began to question my own abilities.

Mindset Shift: Taking Imperfect Action

It was at this crossroad that I realised a change was not just necessary but imperative. The shift from perfection to progress became my new mantra. Getting my message and my work out there meant choosing progress over perfection. It was the mindset shift that needed to happen. It wasn’t easy – it’s still not easy, but it has allowed me to open doors I never thought possible.

Embracing Imperfect Action: A Business Narrative Shift

When I started taking imperfect action, the narrative of my business changed. Suddenly, things fell into place, and the goals that once seemed unattainable felt within reach. Getting my work out into the world became a priority, and the response was nothing short of transformative.

The Power of Imperfect Action

The Power of Imperfect Progress

As I let go of the need for flawless outcomes, my business experienced unprecedented growth. I’m now making progress in my business daily.

So, if you’re standing at the intersection of perfection and progress, consider this an invitation to take the leap. Let your work resonate imperfectly with the world, and watch your journey unfold.
